21st Century Telecom Education
Global Teaching Experience, unique Learning Methods

About us

Futurenetz is not a mass-training company. It is a freelance operation headed by Kostas Apostolidis, M.Sc who is connected with a small network of other freelance instructors.
Kostas has a long and successful track-record in teaching customers (vendors and operators) across the globe for the past 10 years. He has worked in numerous projects and continues to extensively research cutting-edge telecom network technologies (Softswitching/VoIP, UMTS, IMS and many others). His competence spans both the telecommunications and datacommunications areas (IP, ATM, MPLS etc.).

Tailor-made Courses
We invest most of our resources on developing a number of a few carefully selected, well-researched courses. Our course-list however, does not reflect the whole range of competence areas in which we can provide solutions. Our customers often determine additional topics they would like to include, and so far we’ been able to successfully deliver. In fact, this agility is what differentiates us from mass-training companies.
So, if you don’ t find an off-the-shelf topic in which you are interested, simply tell us what you require and we’ ll make a proposal.

Unique Learning Methods
Instructor competence never guarantees effective learning. Many professionals know how tedious a 2-day long powerpoint presentation can be, even if the instructor is competent.
Futurenetz has focused from its inception on Active Learning. We strive to minimize passive learning (instructor lecture), and create an environment with a high degree of interactivity. To achieve this we employ our uniquely designed Textbook/Workbook, the one and only 3-D Memory Map and a high variation of media:

  • With the combination Textbook/Workbook delegates fill out partially complete pictures with colour pens while being provided with concise text for quick reference after the course. This method allows you to have a background, low-level activity during presentation. The use of tactile activity accompanying audio-visual input has been appreciated by an overwhelming majority of delegates.
  • The 3-D Memory Map is a lego-like model of the systems under study, that is used in a group setting. It accelerates learning of tricky concepts, normally hindered by 2-D only presentations and it facilitates discussions and knowledge sharing.
