Many
professionals often expect so-called theory courses to be at
best tedious. Futurenetz is changing this by focusing on
Activity-Centered Training.
We
minimize passive learning (instructor lecture) session duration,
and employ creative tools & exercises that truly motivate
critical thinking, and keep you enjoyably alert.
We use a variety of media
(whiteboards, charts, transparencies, powerpoints) with a focus
on keeping participants engaged and well-oriented. For example,
we use powerpoint sparingly for short periods because it s been
proven an ineffective tool over longer periods of time. This is
due to the fact that there can be too much input in such
presentations that cannot be processed quickly enough.
Participants often lose the sense of orientation and of a
binding thread.
Futurenetz is aware of such
presentation pitfalls and designs courses in ways that help
participants stay focused & oriented. We recognize that most
attendants of such courses much prefer to have activity-centered
training; methods & tools that will keep them alert, as well as
interested.

Along our presentation methods,
we provide course participants with a number of activity tools:
a combination
Workbook-Textbook
where you find all the theory you
need, as well as enough space with specially-designed figures on
which you can take your notes. This book will be useful to you
also after the course, since it contains everything you might
need on the subject (notes, figures, theory, exercises,
references).
a
number of Exercises
meant to give you time to review and reflect on the material.
In
order to enhance your understanding and help you better process
the information, you will be working with a 3-D model of all
entities you will study (nodes, interfaces, signalling).
This 3D-Memory Map
has been successfully employed in many courses since 2002, and
has been appreciated by all participants.
